HOSDB (PSDB) Stab Test Knives and Spikes |
HSC are the Home Office approved Manufacturers of the PDSB Stab Test Knife used in all tests on Stab proof vests. Our range of knives, with many ex-stock or manufactured on short delivery times, have been developed with The Home Office to deliver the consistent cut required to certify these life saving body armours. All our products are independently assessed and certified by CATRA prior to dispatch to ensure a consistent cutting performance. Our Home Office Credentials can be found at the Home Office Science, Research and Statistics website. See section 6, 6.3 footnotes page 5 for reference to High Speed & Carbide (HSC) as follows. “To accommodate manufacturers carrying out development testing, High Speed & Carbide (contact details in Appendix B) have agreed to stock limited supplies of P1 knives and SP spikes with certified tip sharpness courtesy of the Cutlery and Allied Trades Research Association (CATRA) of Sheffield.”
